There's something very possesional (that's not a word) about putting a mailbox up. Not so much the digging a hole, cement, etc., but more the placing of the pole, as in 'LOOOOOK AT ME, I OWN THIS LAND'. It was a very Neil Armstrong moment - I almost teared up. Grrr.
